Appliance tips
Dishwasher
Dishes aren’t getting clean?
- Run white vinegar through one or more cycles to clean soap build-up
- Decrease the amount of detergent used
- Is hot water heater temperature set correctly?
Others
Refrigerator
- Keep condenser coils clean
- Allow 1-2 inches of space around cabinet for proper ventilation
- Make sure door gaskets seal properly to avoid excessive run times
Icemaker
- If not making ice, make sure “arm” is in the proper position. It can get bumped easily when taking things in or out of the freezer.
- Change filter every 6-12 months
Plumbing
- If plumbing is clogged, try using a plunger to release the clog
Garbage disposal
- If garbage disposal does not work, try pressing the reset button on the bottom or side of the disposal
Dryer
- If dryer is too hot, make sure vent hose is not compressed up against the wall behind dryer, or vent may need to be cleaned (call for quote).
- Try not to slam the dryer door or let it slam shut, as this may damage the door switch and the machine will not run.

Washer
- Washer lids are very susceptible to breaking. Try to keep from dropping or slamming the lid to avoid damaging the lid switch.
